Here's this week's update on Alexis. Hard to believe that in just 6 weeks she will be here and be part of our family!
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is probably almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which she'll need to regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her central nervous system is still maturing and her lungs are well developed by now.
She sure feels like she weighs all of that 4&3/4 pounds!!! I have my 34 week OB check today. Maybe the doctor will do an ultrasound and we'll have some new pictures to share. It won't be much longer before I'll be a weekly visitor in the OB's office!!
